Ingredients

  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 60g cold unsalted butter
  • 150g fresh blueberries
  • 150ml milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 250g of all-purpose flour, 50g of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cut in 60g of cold unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in 150g of fresh blueberries.
  5. Mix in 150ml of milk and 1 large egg until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
