Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 4 large eggs
  • 150g sugar
  • 100ml brewed espresso
  • 125ml Malbec wine
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 100ml cream
  • 150g chopped dark chocolate (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, melt 200g of dark chocolate and let it cool slightly.
  3. Beat 4 large eggs with 150g of sugar until pale and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the melted chocolate into the egg mixture carefully.
  5. Add 100ml of brewed espresso and 125ml of Malbec wine to the mixture and gently fold.
  6. Sift in 100g of all-purpose flour and mix until combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
