Ingredients

  • 500g croissant dough
  • 200ml milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 50g shaved chocolate (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the vanilla custard by whisking egg yolks, sugar, and milk together in a saucepan until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and allow to cool.
  4. Roll out the croissant dough and cut into triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of cooled vanilla custard on the base of each triangle.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the base to the tip, enclose the filling.
