Ingredients

  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 10g baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 85g cold butter
  • 150g chocolate chips
  • 150ml milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 100g powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 250g all-purpose flour, 100g granulated sugar, 10g baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cut in 85g cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in 150g chocolate chips.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together 150ml milk and 1 large egg.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly until smooth.
