Ingredients

  • 500g puff pastry
  • 500ml milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 100g sugar
  • 50g cornstarch
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 100g chopped almonds
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  3. Place the pastry rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  5. While baking, prepare the almond praline cream by heating milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
