Ingredients

  • Puff pastry - 500 g
  • Milk - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Egg yolks - 4
  • Cornstarch - 40 g
  • Bananas - 2 medium
  • Powdered sugar - for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 3 mm thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into rectangles, approximately 10x5 cm.
  4. Place the rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Poke holes in the pastry using a fork to prevent puffing.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let the pastry layers cool on a wire rack.
  8. Prepare the custard by heating milk in a saucepan.
  9. In a separate bowl, whisk sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch until smooth.
