Ingredients

  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 150g chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together 100g of unsalted butter and 150g of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 2 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 200g of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  6. Fold in 150g of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape each into a log, about 25cm long and 5cm wide.
  8. Place the logs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing each log into 1cm thick pieces.
  10. Arrange the slices cut-side down on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until crisp.
  11. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
