Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of pastry dough
  • 3 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 150 grams Gruyère cheese, grated
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh thyme, for garnish

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the pastry dough and fit it into a tart pan; trim the edges.
  3. Prick the bottom with a fork and chill for 15 minutes.
