Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (approximately 250g)
  • 2 cups onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
